Shell FCU introduces ACH Origination... a fast way to get your money moved from one institution to another on a recurring basis. ACH origination gives you a convenient option to move your money - whether you want to set aside the same amount each week/month to SAVE or you want an easy way to make your loan payment each month at one institution from an account you have at another institution.

For example - You have a loan here at Shell FCU. With ACH origination, you can request that Shell FCU initiate a repetitive transfer to DEBIT your account from another institution and CREDIT your Shell FCU loan account.  Likewise, if you have a loan at another institution, you can ask Shell FCU to set up a repetitive transfer to DEBIT your Shell FCU account and CREDIT your loan account at the other institution.

Alternatively, if you have a loan here at Shell FCU, and it becomes delinquent, upon a call from Collections, you may be able to authorize a "one time" debit from your account at another institution to credit your past due Shell FCU loan.

How to Get Started

As you can see, ACH origination is for a recurring money transfer. As with all money transfers in and out of Shell FCU, this is a controlled process that is balanced and monitored daily. 

If you'd like to set up a recurring transfer, you will need to come into the Credit Union in person to get it started. We suggest you print a copy of the ACH Origination Form and write down the information requested. Bring that form with you as a reference. You will need to show proof of ownership on all accounts outside of Shell FCU.

 REMEMBER... ACH Origination is only to transfer between accounts at financial institutions on a recurring basis. You can continue to pay your one time payments or monthly bills – utilities, phone, etc. using SFCU Free Online Bill Pay.
